Return, Refund & Exchange Policy
Ricodeco is confident that we are able to provide you with the best quality products at the most affordable price. But sometimes choices don’t work out, which is why we have an agreeable Returns Policy.
This Return, Refund & Exchange Policy forms part of the Customer Terms and Conditions, and so words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.
The onus or responsibility is on the customer to check the products that have been delivered and report any breakages, shortages or errors within 14 days. After this period, Ricodeco may elect not to replace/refund any such items.
Only purchases delivered by an authorised Ricodeco delivery vehicle/partner will be considered for return/exchange/refund should such a consignment be found to have damaged, broken or incorrect products.
RETURNS
You may return goods/purchases (the “Returned Product”) bought from Ricodeco provided they comply with the conditions listed below. Such returned products may be brought, at your own expense, to any Ricodeco store.
- You may return any product at your expense within 120 days of purchase from the Ricodeco website or any Ricodeco store:
(a) If you’ve changed your mind;
(b) You have purchased the wrong item;
(c) If the Ricodeco product has a functional fault;
(d) If you have concerns about the quality of the product that impacts on its reasonable usage and for which usage it was intended;
(e) Goods are returned in their original, undamaged packaging and in a saleable condition;
(f) Provided that the returned product has not been used/installed, in whole or in part, and as such approved by Ricodeco.
(g) The returned product is accompanied by the original proof of purchase from Ricodeco.
(h) Customers may be asked to complete a form clarifying why the returned product is unsuitable.In the case of incorrect items being delivered, any return costs will be at the expense of Ricodeco.
(i) Products like shower doors and bathtubs should not be removed from protective packaging before ensuring the correct size has been purchased.
- A product cannot be returned if:
- 1. A period of 121 days or more (over 4 months) days has passed since the item was purchased or collected or delivered;
2. The product appears to have been used or there are any physical alterations to the product;
3. Accidental damage has occurred eg cracks, dents;
4. There is evidence of abuse, negligence or user tampering/error;
5. Water/liquid/soiling or infestation damage is evident;
6. Your purchase was a specially-ordered or custom product or painted/varnished according to your specifications.
7. Tiles are classified as clearance stock or out-of-range;
8. If an item has been bought at a special or promotional price, neither a return nor a refund will be done by Ricodeco;
9. PVC ceiling panels or timbers cannot be returned if the bundle has been broken or opened.
EXCHANGES
Should you wish to exchange an item, you may take it to your nearest Ricodeco branch within 120 days (4 months) at your own cost and receive a credit note.
Exchanges must comply with the terms itemised in Point 1 under Returns where relevant.
REFUNDS & CREDITS
Due to the nature of the products we supply (size, weight, dimensions), and the delivery cost involved in certain cases, all requests for refund or credit note should comply with the below conditions before a return can be processed by Ricodeco and the requested refund or credit note be approved:
- Any products requiring a refund should be returned in their original undamaged packaging and sellable condition to Ricodeco’s standards;
- All goods for return and refund to Ricodeco cannot show evidence of being used or installed in whole or in part.
- Completed, unopened boxes are only accepted for refund or credit.
- All refunds are to be submitted within 120 days from date of sale to Ricodeco. See applicable fees below.
- Should you not wish to take a refund on an accepted return, we will be happy to issue a store credit voucher/code which is valid for two (2) years from date of issue by Ricodeco.
- If the returned product has passed inspection and quality control, the value of the returned item(s) will be processed within seven (7) working days.
- Refunds will be made into the same bank account or bank card or Ricodeco Loyalty card which was originally used to make the purchase.
- If the original purchase was made in cash, only a maximum amount of R2,000 can be refunded in cash, depending upon availability of cash reserves in-store.
REFUND FEES
All refunds (EFT and cash) are subject to a fee of 20% that will be deducted from the total value of the value of items bought.
